Jess Jaimes is the dynamic host of Resilient and Rowdy, a podcast dedicated to sharing authentic stories, exploring resilience, and addressing important topics such as mental health and personal growth.

Born in Colombia and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Jess is a proud first-generation immigrant. Seeking opportunities to elevate herself, Jess joined the U.S. Army in 2012, where she served as a Chemical Operations Specialist. She quickly distinguished herself as one of the youngest in her platoon to complete the prestigious Lima 6 NBCRV Stryker course. During her service, Jess handled chemical operations in garrison and conducted reconnaissance missions with the Stryker vehicle. After four years of dedicated service, she transitioned out of the military in 2016.

Determined to continue her personal and professional growth, Jess pursued higher education at the University of Colorado Denver, earning a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. During this transitional phase, she made a profound commitment to improving her mental health and focusing on self-development—a journey that became a cornerstone of her life’s mission.

In 2020, Jess launched Resilient & Rowdy to inspire and empower others through candid conversations about mental health, resilience, and holistic healing. Her platform not only shines a light on traditional and alternative approaches to mental and emotional well-being but also connects veterans and civilians alike with valuable resources. Jess openly discusses her experiences with childhood trauma, sexual assault, and military sexual trauma, using her voice to encourage others to seek support and embrace healing.

Jess's dedication to mental health advocacy extends beyond her podcast. She is an integral part of the Department of Veterans Affairs' Make The Connection campaign, where she highlights inspiring stories of fellow veterans who have overcome their struggles through treatment and support. Additionally, Jess actively volunteers for military and veteran non-profits, further supporting the community she is passionate about. Her work emphasizes that healing is possible and that no one has to face their challenges alone.

Through her podcast and professional endeavors, Jess Jaimes continues to be a beacon of hope and resilience, inspiring individuals to confront their past, embrace their strengths, and strive for personal growth.
